What to Expect
Your First Hypnosis Session
After your consultation, you’ll come in for your first hypnotherapy session.
Most people arrive feeling a little excited, a little curious, and sometimes a little nervous.
That is completely normal.
You’ll be comfortable in a nice chair, in a judgment-free space, and I promise I will not hypnotize you into clucking like a chicken.
Unless that is your goal. In which case, that costs extra 😊
.
We’ll begin by talking about what brought you here, what you would like to change, and what has
been getting in the way.
Think of it as a private conversation with someone who understands the subconscious mind and knows how to help you work with your own.
Depending on your needs, I may also teach you techniques to help regulate stress, calm your nervous system, and change some of the automatic reactions that have become your default.
Then, when we are clear about your goals, the hypnosis begins.
You will remain aware, comfortable, and completely in control.
Hypnosis is not mind control, and I cannot make you do anything you do not want to do.
My role is simply to guide you.
Using hypnotic language and carefully chosen suggestions, we begin speaking to the deeper part of your mind in a way it understands.
This is where we can begin working with the habits, fears, beliefs, and old patterns that may have
been holding you back.
You simply close your eyes, get comfortable, and follow my voice.
Many people are surprised by how natural hypnosis feels. Some say it feels as if no time has passed at all. Others tell me they feel deeply rested afterward, almost as if they have had a massage for the mind.
I record the hypnosis portion of your session so you can listen again at home and continue reinforcing the work we have done together.
Some concerns respond quickly. Others need deeper work. The average time we will spend together
is between 3 and 10 sessions
After our first time together, we can talk honestly about what may be most helpful for you.
Hypnosis is not magic.
But there is something remarkable about quieting the noise of the conscious mind and finally reaching
the part of you where so many patterns began.
Together, we begin clearing away what no longer belongs to you, so you can move through life feeling more free, more confident, and more at home within yourself.
And perhaps most importantly, you can begin enjoying not only your life, but the person you are while living it.
